Although only 19, BIANCA GERVAIS already has a decade of experience in film and television. Her numerous performances on the small screen include roles in Omertà 2 (1996), Caserne 24 (2000), Watatatow (2000) and Fortier (2000). She became well-known in 2000-2003 for playing the big sister in the popular show, Le Monde de Charlotte, for which sheearned a 2003 Gemini nomination for Best Supporting Female Role. GERVAIS's character then became the star of the sequel to Le Monde de Charlotte --- Un monde à part. She also appeared in the films La Conciergerie des monstres (1996) and Dans une galaxie près de chez vous... (2003). GERVAIS also does dubbing work for both film and television and has appeared in a number of commercials.

Acoona is a young Innu girl who Marie-Loup has taken under her wing.  Acoona is deeply attached to both her protector and her daughter France, for whom she is both a big sister and confidante. Acoona has her own views on the customs of the French population and brings to the fore her First Nations culture.
